This is Auntie Stinkie stepping in for the Fab Five.
I am feeling so low. I fear that my sweet love of a man cat, my dearest bravest Bounce, may have to go to the Bridge. I have leaky eyes as I dictate these words to Mommy:
"My dearest Bounce, how I adore thee. You are my heart, my love, my comfort. We have reached an age where kittie's days may be numbered. Some of us get lucky enough to live until 22, and some of us leave this world as youngsters. I don’t know how many more days I will be with my own Mommy and Daddy, but I do know that when the call comes for me, I will be by your side, my dearest Bounce, for all of Eternity.
My heart is too full. I am crying as I say these words. How can I say good-bye? I can only send comfort to your family, your mommy and daddy, your sisters, and to your friends.
I love you Bounce, that will never change. I will carry you inside my heart as a candle that will ever stay lighted, and I will stay by your side if you decide that this is your final passage. And I will be here, holding your paw, if you decide that you want to stay awhile longer. You must be the one to make the choice dearest, and I, I will respect your wishes."
Your adoring Auntie Stinkie.

It's hard waiting on word of Bounce, isn't it? But we hope in this case that no news is good news.
We're glad you changed your mind about inviting us over and turning up the heat to 900 degrees. We'd have all been roasted to a crisp. But the thought was sweet -- the original one of us not turning into a big igloo.
We're nipping at Jan's heels now to get to work on "winterizing" the windows. (A hopeless task but it makes her feel like she's accomplished something.)
I'm so very sorry, Auntie Stinkie, that you may have to bid adieu to the amour of your heart. It is my earnest hope that should Bounce have to pass over the Bridge, the passage will be easy and peaceful. I'm purring very hard for you and for Bounce, my dear.
Your friend,
Angus
