Thank you for all your suggestions on getting Maxi to eat. I called Dr Glaze and I will stop by the vet’s office tonight after work. They will have an appetite stimulant and special foods to feed by syringe. We are determined to get this boy eating. (Nothing as stubborn as a meezer, eh?)
See below for updates from last night and special “post post.” We have been unable to celebrate anyone’s birthday this week. Delilah is four years young! I think Dr Tweety suggested a delayed party once we have Maxi on the mend. So take note, hairballs & spit wads will be encouraged.

When Cal refused to eat the vet prescribed mirtazapine (rameron) to stimulate his appetite and it worked. Hopefully, whatever your vet prescribes will work wonders for Maxi!

Don't scare us like that. When we saw the update, we rushed right over, thinking something bad happened.Whew. We can breathe now.
We hope whatever the vet gives him will get him eating again.
We know you haven't been celebrating birthdays this week, but we've been singing for the birthday cats anyway. We don't want them to feel we forgot them.
We are purring that Maxi will eat. ~S,S,C & F
We hope the syringe feeding gets Maxi eating again. We are still purring our best purrs for him.
We hope that this works for Maxi and that he will start eating! Good luck.
I hope the syringe works for Maxi. I left you another message tonight on your post two days ago. When Praline was sick several years ago, the vet suggested heating her food for a few seconds. It worked for her!
We are purrring and purrraying for Maxi to get all better!! Thanks for the update!!

and Maverick
We're still purring and purraying really hard for Maxi to eat - Mum remembered about heating food like Sweet Praline suggested, and it does help make foods yummier.
