The vet called. Maxi’s temperature is now back up to 106. He is extremely lethargic. They are now x-raying the abdomen for the third time. Our bill, totaled with the ER vet, is around $1,000 and we are no closer to discovering why we have such a sick kitty.
We’re at a dangerously precarious crossroads, and I feel like I’m in sort of limbo. I know all of you love your furry friends. You know how helpless you feel to help them. I’m sorry that I can’t report more positive news. It is not looking very good for our beloved King.

Oh no. We are so sorry to hear his temp is back up. Wonder what in the world could be wrong with sweet Max? We feel for you, having already spent a great deal of money and no closer to a diagnosis. It is so very frustrating. We are still sending lots of purrs and healing vibes. We are also purraying for Max to get well very soon!
Oh no! We thought Maxi was improving when his temperature started to go down. We are praying for him and hope the vet can find what is wrong so he can help him get through it.

Oh dear!! This is very sad news indeed. We understand about the big Vet bills too :( In our case, the kitty got better.
WE will purr very hard for Max. He is a nice guy and we know you all love him so much.

Come on Max fight!!! I know being at the vet is askeery and not fun but when you get healthy again you get to go home. We're still purring and we know how hard the cost is. I was a very very very expensive kitten with my medical issues..

We are very sad to hear that Maxi's temp is back up - we are all really hoping, purring, praying he gets better soon. I know how hard it is to have a sick cat and not know what is wrong, and I really hope they find out soon. Thanks for keeping us posted. My first thought when I got home was to check for an update, and I know it is hard to do when you are so worried. We are all thinking of you and Maxi and trying to send positive energy his way.

Oh no! How horrible. We can't imagine what we would do in such a situation. We'd be so frustrated that we couldn't find a reason for the temperature and why it wasn't coming down. Poor Maxi guy.
